The many Cathar Castles to visit include the chateaux of Queribus, Peyrepetuse, Montsegur ... All are easily accessible from the bed and breakfast. You can make a short excursion to the preserved medieval walled city of Carcassonne, an important centre of Cathar history. The Cathars were active in Carcassonne in the 11th century. All the Aude Valley is Cathar Country. |
